Wisconsin Imaging and Photographic Association would like to invite you to explore our site. Read up on how one of the oldest photographic brotherhoods in Wisconsin started in our history section, browse some featured work in our member's gallery, look up contact information for any of our members in the list, or read the current and past issues of WIPA's newsletter, "Inside WIPA".
Exciting changes are happening at insidewipa.org! The website is being redesigned from the inside-out. There will be a new gallery for photos, soon to be filled with finest work from WIPA's members. More content is on the way, bringing the talent, knowledge, and photographic work of professionals together.
A "breakthrough imaging-sensing technology" has been unveiled that may eventually replace the silicon megapixels we are so fond of counting. Here are excerpts from InVisage Technologies, Inc. Mar.22, 2010 news release:
A History of WIPA as written or taken from the files of Phil Moughmer! {March 1991 issue of WIPA Newsletter} The Wisconsin Industrial Photographer's Association (WIPA) is 36 years old this year. (This story was originally written in March of 1991) It has held together as continuing organization when many others have simply faded away. It's basic educational mission has been carried on by three generations of photographers. We have only six of our early charter members still with us. All are retired from their original jobs.
